RPF Mumbai Division Arrests Touts

n its continued drive to make available reserved tickets to bonafide passengers, Railway Protection Force, Mumbai Division, Central Railway arrested touts selling reserved tickets.

According to the information received, Assistant Security Commissioner, Panvel o­n 10.12.2020, Inspector Kalamboli and Sub Inspector Shri G S Adle, Head Constable Mukesh Dudhane and Constable Ravindar Khadse raided the residence at Sector 01, Kalamboli. Raj Mohammed Nasim Khan, age-18 years, who is involved in reserving Tatkal Reservation e-ticket from his mobile was brought to the RPF police station Kalamboli for further enquiry. During enquiry, he accepted that he booked e-tickets from his two personal user IDs by taking Rs. 100/- to Rs. 200/- per person as a commission.

He further said that he came to know from You Tube channel as to How to book Tatkal ticket with extension software. A software named COMDOM was sent to him by the person and after paying money for the password by Raju Mohammed. With the above software extension, he booked 10 railway tickets. According to the statement given by the above accused, a case was registered under Railways act at RPF Police Station, Kalamboli.

In another case o­n 11.12.2020, a joint raid was conducted by Vigilance team consisting of K D More and ATS (C) team and RPF staff of CSMT at Mazgaon, Mumbai and apprehended o­ne person namely Shamim Shaikh age-49 years. o­n checking, this person was procuring tickets o­n personal ID under the cover of authorized ID of IRCTC. Total 15 live and 33 past tickets and 14 cancelled tickets were procured o­n personal ID worth Rs.22,320/- (live), Rs. 26,018/- (Past) and Rs.14,207/- (cancel) were seized. A case has been registered against him vide under Railways Act.

On 11.12.2020 at 11.05 pm, Shri Sukhbir, RPF Sub-Inspector Mankhurd along with Constable Vinod Shinde and CPDS Sub-Inspector RS Meena and staff kept secret surveillance at Vashi Railway Reservation Centre. An suspicious person was caught and o­n inquiry, he revealed that his name Shekhar Naik age-47 years, of Vashi, Navi Mumbai and o­ne reserved ticket PNR No.8733557326, DOJ-12.12.2020 for Train no. 05645, Class-SL, worth Rs. 3195 /- was seized from him. He sells these tickets to the gullible passengers by taking Rs. 200-300/- per ticket. A case is registered under Railways act.
