Regarding Committee to Examine issues relating to Supervisory Categories

ORDER

New Delhi, dated 20.11.2024

Ministry of Railways (Railway Board) have decided to constitute a Committee to examine issues relating to Supervisory Categories.

1.1 The Committee will consist of the following:-

i. EDPC, Railway Board ……. Convener

ii. EDE(GC), Railway Board. ….. Member

III.EDE(N),Railway Board Member. ….. Member

iv. EDCE(G), Railway Board   ….. Member

v. EDF(E), Railway Board   ….. Member

2. The Terms of Reference of the Committee would be as under: –

a. To study the issue of stagnation at L-7 and to suggest modalities to improve promotion prospects for all Supervisory category.

b. To study implications and suggest modalities for allotting Group B status to Supervisors upgraded to Level-8 vide RBE 155/2022.

c. To study implications and suggest modalities for aligning the classification policy of Ministry of Railways with DOP&T.

3. The Committee shall submit its report within six (6) weeks from the date of constitution. The committee should take the views of the stakeholders for its consideration before finalizing its recommendations.

4. The Headquarters of the Committee will be at New Delhi.

5. PC-VII Branch, Railway Board will be the Nodal Branch for functioning of the Committee. Therefore, submission of report of the Committee for consideration of Railway Board, implementation of its recommendations and all related issues including Parliament Questions, RTI cases and other formalities with regard to the Committee, shall be dealt with by PC-VII Branch, Railway Board. The Nodal Branch will also make sure to email a soft copy of the Committee’s report to the ERB-I Branch at committee.mor@rb.railnet.gov.in.

6. The Convener and Members of the Committee will draw TA/DA as per extant rules.
