श्री वैष्णव ने भारतीय रेलवे के स्टेशनों पर मानक संकेतक

भारतीय रेलवे के 17 क्षेत्रों और 68 मंडलों में 7300 से अधिक रेलवे स्टेशनों पर विभिन्न प्रकार के संकेतक हैं, अब स्टेशनों के नामों का प्रदर्शन पूरे देश में एक ही मानक पर होगा

श्री अश्विनी वैष्णव ने कहा कि भारतीय रेलवे स्टेशनों पर आधुनिक, मानक संकेतक अपनाएगा जो दिव्यांगों के अनुकूल होंगे

भारतीय रेलवे पूरे देश में रेलवे स्टेशनों का विकास कर ‘नए भारत की नई पहचान’ का सृजन कर रही है। भारतीय रेलवे अब ‘अमृत भारत स्टेशन योजना‘ के तहत पूरे भारत में 1275 स्टेशनों का पुनर्विकास कर रही है। रेल मंत्री श्री अश्विनी वैष्णव ने आज रेल भवन, नई दिल्ली में भारतीय रेलवे के स्टेशनों पर मानक संकेतों के बारे में एक पुस्तिका जारी की है। रेलवे बोर्ड के अध्यक्ष एवं सीईओ श्री अनिल कुमार लाहोटी, रेलवे बोर्ड के सदस्य भी इस कार्यक्रम के दौरान उपस्थित थे और जोनल रेलवे के महाप्रबंधक भी वीडियो कॉन्फ्रेंसिंग के माध्यम से इस कार्यक्रम में शामिल हुए।

इस अवसर पर श्री अश्विनी वैष्णव ने कहा, “जैसा कि आप सभी जानते हैं कि माननीय प्रधानमंत्री के नेतृत्व में, भारतीय रेलवे अपने स्टेशनों पर यात्री अनुभव को बढ़ाने के लिए अथक प्रयास कर रही है। यह महसूस किया गया है कि स्टेशनों पर संकेतकों के बारे में ऐसे मानक दिशानिर्देश जारी किए जाएं जो सुसंगत और पर्याप्त हों। आज मुझे भारतीय रेलवे के स्टेशनों पर मानक संकेतकों के बारे में पुस्तिका जारी करते हुए बहुत खुशी हो रही है। भारतीय रेलवे ऐसे आधुनिक, मानक संकेतों को अपनाएगी जो दिव्यांगों के अनुकूल हों।

किसी भी अन्य रेल नेटवर्क की तुलना में भारतीय रेलवे के पास दुनिया में सबसे ज्यादा स्टेशन हैं। यह महत्वपूर्ण है कि प्रत्येक यात्री की मानक संकेतक होने से सुविधाओं तक आसानी से पहुंच होनी चाहिए।

स्टेशनों पर मानक संकेतकों के बारे में यह पुस्तिका सरल भाषा, स्पष्ट फ़ॉन्ट, आसानी से दिखने वाले रंगों, सहज चित्रलेखों को प्राथमिकता देती है। इसे सभी यात्रियों की जरूरतों को ध्यान में रखते हुए बनाया गया है, जिनमें बुजुर्ग, महिलाएं, बच्चे, दिव्यांगजन आदि शामिल हैं। संकेतकों के रंग, फोंट के प्रकार और आकार को मानकीकृत किया गया है। तेजी से रास्ता तलाशने के लिए संकेतों के समूहीकरण की अवधारणा को प्रस्‍तुत किया गया है। तिरंगी पृष्ठभूमि के साथ स्टेशनों के नाम प्रदर्शित करने वाले नए तृतीयक बोर्ड लगाए गए हैं। मुख्य निर्णय लेने वाले बिंदुओं पर सहज ज्ञान युक्त रास्ता खोजने और संकेतकों की उपलब्धता पर जोर दिया गया है। संकेतों के मानकीकरण पर भी जोर दिया गया है और मजबूत वास्तुकला शब्दावली वाले स्टेशनों के मामले में लचीलेपन की आवश्यकता को भी मान्यता दी गई है।

अमृत भारत स्टेशन योजना:

रेल मंत्रालय ने “अमृत भारत स्टेशन” योजना नाम से स्टेशनों के आधुनिकीकरण के लिए एक नई नीति तैयार की है। इस योजना में दीर्घकालिक विजन के साथ निरंतर आधार पर स्टेशनों के विकास की परिकल्पना की गई है। यह स्टेशन की जरूरतों और संरक्षण के अनुसार दीर्घकालिक मास्टर प्लानिंग और मास्टर प्लान के तत्वों के कार्यान्वयन पर आधारित है। यह योजना मुख्य रूप से सुरक्षित, आरामदायक और स्वच्छ रेलवे परिसरों को उपलब्‍ध कराने पर ध्यान केंद्रित करेगी।

तीन रेलवे स्टेशनों अर्थात रानी कमलापति, गांधीनगर कैपिटल और सर एम. विश्वेश्वरैया टर्मिनल को चालू कर दिया गया है। इन तीन स्टेशनों के अनुभव के आधार पर, अमृत भारत स्टेशन योजना के तहत चुने गए 1275 स्टेशनों में प्रमुख शहरों, पर्यटन और तीर्थ यात्रा महत्व के स्थानों पर स्थित स्टेशन शामिल हैं। 88 स्टेशनों पर काम चल रहा है। 1187 स्टेशनों के लिए निविदा और योजना कार्य प्रगति पर है।

Indian Railways is creating New Identity of New India by developing Railway stations across the country. Indian Railways is now redeveloping 1275 stations across India under ‘Amrit Bharat Stations Scheme.’ Today, Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw, Minister of Railways released a booklet on Standard Signages at Stations on Indian Railways in Rail Bhavan, New Delhi. Chairman & CEO, Railway Board Shri Anil Kumar Lahoti, Members of Railway Board were also present during the event and General Managers of Zonal Railways also joined the event via video conferencing.

Speaking on the occasion, Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw said, “As you all know, under the leadership of Hon’ble Prime Minister, Indian Railways have been working tirelessly to enhance the passenger experience at railway stations. It was felt to issue standard guidelines on Signages at Stations that will be consistent and adequate. Today, I am delighted to release the booklet on Standard Signages at Stations on Indian Railways. Indian Railways will adopt modern, standard signages which are Divyang friendly.”

Indian Railways has the largest number of stations in the world than any other rail network. It is important that every passenger should have easy access to facilities by having standard signage.

The Booklet on Standard Signages at Stations prioritizes simple language, clear font, easy-to-see colors, intuitive pictograms. It is made keeping in mind the requirements of all passengers, including elderly, women, children, divyangjan etc. The colours of signages, type and size of fonts have been standardized. Concept of grouping of signages has been introduced for faster way finding. New tertiary boards displaying station names with tricolor backgrounds have been introduced. Emphasis has been laid on providing intuitive way finding and availability of signages on key decision making points. While there is emphasis on standardization of signages, the need for flexibility in case of stations with strong architectural vocabulary has also been recognized.

Amrit Bharat Station Scheme:

Ministry of Railways has formulated a new policy for modernization of stations named “Amrit Bharat Station” scheme. The scheme envisages development of stations on a continuous basis with a long term vision. It is based on Master Planning for long term and implementation of the elements of Master Plan as per the needs and patronage of the station. The scheme will primarily focus on providing safe, comfortable and clean railway premises.

Three railway stations viz. Rani Kamalapati, Gandhinagar Capital, & Sir M.Visvesvaraya Terminal have been commissioned. Building upon the experience of these three stations, 1275 stations selected under Amrit Bharat Station Scheme include stations located in major cities and places of tourist and pilgrimage importance. Work is in progress at 88 stations. Tendering and planning in progress for 1187 Stations.
