CBI arrests two accused including Health Inspector of Itarsi Railway Station, West Central Railway and middleman for demanding and accepting bribe of Rs 75,000/- from complainant

Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has arrested two accused including Health Inspector of Itarsi Railway Station, West Central Railway, MP and accused middleman for demanding and accepting bribe of Rs. 75,000/- from complainant.

A case was registered by CBI on 14.02.2025 against said accused on allegations that accused demanded bribe of Rs. 1,00,000/- from complainant to process/get the bill passed of an  amount of Rs. 9,32,296/- and to save the complainant from any Vigilance Scrutiny.

CBI laid a trap and caught accused Health Inspector and accused middleman (Contractor of Pest Control) red handed while demanding and accepting bribe amount of Rs. 75,000 from the complainant. Later, both accused were arrested and produced before the Competent Court. They have been sent to judicial custody.

Searches were conducted by CBI at residential premises of accused.

Investigation is continuing.
